Laundromat owner's new stainless steel washers have difficult stains

I am a laundromat owner, and I have just recently purchased (5) stainless steel front load washer extractors, they are almost new, but the tops and the sides have stains caused by, I presume, bleach or fabric softener. My question is: How do I get the stains out?.We have a very nice store and we want these to look new, We have tried different kinds of cleaner and polish but nothing, the polish just polishes the stains in. I thought maybe there was a polish that I could get and use a electric buffer,we have even thought of metal sanding the visible areas would these ideas work?

Please advise,

Bleach is well known to cause corrosion problems with stainless steel. You should be able to polish out the blemishes with a Scotchbrite (TM) pad and maybe give it a final polish with jewelers polish or ceric oxide paste. If you use an electric buffer it should not be too much work. You need to do it in a uniform way (polishing in the same direction, or with a circular motion). You need to make sure that whatever you use does not contain any iron!
