I have a requirement to clean Titanium Oxide from the inside of a fired gun barrel.

Can anyone help.

Can't tell without more information. For example, what is the barrel made of, what other soils are present, etc. Another question: How did the TiO2 get there in the first place? Paint or something else? This has a bearing on the problem. Another question: Is the barrel rifled or smoothbore? If rifled, how? Final question for now: Where is the cleaning to take place? Is the weapon on board, in a depot, or what?

The Barrel is made of steel,no other soils are present. The TiO2 got there from firing the TiO2 is used as a wear reducing agent. The barrel has 48 riflings.
The barrel is at a depot.

Hello Tom, Were you able to gather the information you need in regard to cleaning the Titanium Oxide from the inside of the gun barrel? If so, can you share the solution? If not I might have a few ideas...
