Nitric acid corrosion control during a cleaning or passivation process is a function of concentration, temperature and time. To my knowledge, no effective corrosion inhibitors exist.
Reminds me of a story that I once heard about a chemical company that developed an acid that would dissolve anything. The trouble was, they couldn't find anything to store it in.
Corrosion inhibitors for sulfuric acid are available. One brand that comes to mind is Rodine. I do not remember the name or number of a specific Rodine product. Any good chemical supply house, at least in the USA, should be able to help you with recommendations and corrosion tables.
