Yellow zinc vs. 316L stainless
How does yellow zinc compare to 316L stainless steel when it comes to corrosion? We were told by a supplier that SS is much better at resisting corrosion and we agree. However a customer is saying yellow zinc is better. Please advise.
Thanks,

I would certainly bet on the stainless steel based on the law of averages, and the fact that it's a homogeneous material rather than just a coating, but it isn't possible to answer conclusively without describing the corrosive situation. Gold is more corrosion resistant than either, of course. Good luck.
