Hard Chrome Color?
Q. What color is engineering hard chrome plate? Is it dull black or is it as shiny as decorative chrome plating?

A. None of the above? It is metallic in color and from fairly shiny to very shiny; but it's usually not microleveled enough to be quite as brilliant and reflective as decorative nickel chrome plating.

Q. Some of the chromium we plate and polish has a white color, white with blue, or a more dominant blue color on the surface. Does anyone have any ideas on what would cause an appearance difference? Anyone know if it has a positive or negative affect on the performance of the chrome?
The best idea we have come up with is during finishing polish that some of our polishers are getting the surface too hot.

A. Hi,
It's probably the speed on the polishing rotation and the polish paste.
