Formula for plating sol'n using Chromic acid, Phosphoric acid and Urea?

I am trying to reproduce a plating solution formula we used a long time ago. The only info I can get is that it is 90 chromic acid/10 orthophosphoric acid, with some urea, at saturated concentration in deionized water. Is this a common formulation? Can anyone provide LB/GAL or g/L for the ingredients? Is deionized water a necessity? Can distilled water be used instead? Is there a suitable online source for such information?

Thanks,

Although you have called this a plating solution, you haven't identified what it is supposed to do. Is it supposedly a chrome plating solution? For decorative, black, or hard chrome? It sounds a bit like an electropolishing solution, and also sounds a bit like a colorizing solution for stainless steel. So what is it that you are trying to do with this solution?

Probably an electropolishing solution. We supply this to an outside contractor for application. They use our material in their process.
