Coatings for aluminum mountain bike disk rotors
I am currently researching using a Aluminum Disk Rotor on mountain bike application, we currently make atv and motorcycle rotors and use a Liquid static coating, Heat Resistant. But since the material is aluminum what would be an ideal coating for the disk; T6 temper. Can the disk be anodized, or what type of coating would be recommended? Please share with me any insight to my question, any suggestions welcomed.....

What are the pads made of? Electroless nickel or anodize would be possible candidates for your application.

I made an aluminum rotor for my mountain bike. I had it hard coat anodized but my pads did not grip on the coating too well. I had to squeeze the lever much harder.
