What is "Paraffin Finish"
Q. A client requirement is to apply a Paraffin Finish, to be applied with the following characteristics;
Equal parts of Paraffin 133/135 and Kerosene, at a temperature of 150 °F for 1 to 30 sec immersion time.
We don't have any idea what this finish is, where to buy the products, etc. Is there a commercial name for this finish? Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

Q. I also want to do paraffin finishes. I have searched the internet, but it is very hard to find a place to buy paraffin except in 2000 lb pallets.
Also, Naptha is a better solvent than diesel fuel (Kerosene) but costs $6 per gal. Let me know if you find out more.
DPS Wax Inc., New Lenox, IL sells it in smaller than 2000 lb quantities I've been told.
Most sellers never answer emails or maybe they just take forever. Still waiting for return mail, but the above from Moore and Monger contact was very swift-next day.

A. Isn't paraffin available in stores? If not food stores then surely hardware stores for canning purposes or to support the candle making hobby?
