Black-Gunmetal Ring

I have been looking for a ring and earring that is a Gunmetal finish. I did see one before so I know that there is someone out there that sells this item. I am pretty sure that it is black-gunmetal, very shiny, and almost looks like black pearl. Can anyone tell me what this is called or where I could find this online?

Thank You,

You are probably looking for niobium, it can easily be made to look black and shiny, and is in heavy use in the body jewellery industry. As for a finger ring, most softer metals that are colored wear off quickly. Perhaps a sulfuric acid etched stainless steel or titanium with a chemical finish will work for you.
