Satin nickel is fingerprint prone
1998
Dear Sir,
We just embarked on Satin or matte Nickel Plating (from CANNING) onto Zinc Die cast. The process we are using now is Cyanide Copper for 10 minutes, then Matt Nickel for 10 minutes. The problem we are facing is that the end product is very prone to finger-marking. Seems like oil from the fingers get attracted and sealed to the surface.
Is there any way we can overcome this besides using a proprietary Sealphos 705 solution which will take 10 days to arrive and we miss our deadline?

It is always a good practice to use either cotton gloves (expensive) or latex exam gloves (used in the medical community) to avoid finger marks or prevent contamination of product. Make sure to buy latex gloves without powder on it, or wash them with water after wearing. These are likely available at a nearby hardware or medical store.
