Hard Nickel Plating

I have a customer that requests HARD NICKEL plating for their parts. Is there such a process? So far as I know, there is electroless nickel and nickel chrome. If there is, what is the difference then between Hard Nickel and the others?

Hard nickel is just one of some 7 or 8 different plain electronickel baths available. As well as the others, it is made using commercial salts at different concentrations and plating parameters (i.e. less nickel sulphate, lower temperature, lower current density, addition of other cations, etc.) You can find exact formulations and instructions in a good plating manual or book.
