Is it possible to do chromium nitride coating in PVD chamber used for coating polymer reflectors with aluminium followed by silicon monoxide. If yes how? and what advantage it has over aluminium coatings.

I would guess without seeing your system that it is possible but not very practical. Chrome nitride is not easy to deposit. You'd need major changes in the chamber and control system which would lead either to a system that can do all things poorly or would be only marginal for chrome nitride. I suggest you consider a separate system.

Jim has put it correctly. You will need either a sputtering system or a cathodic arc system, both are different set ups and will require extensive modifications to your system. In addition, if you are looking for a transparent or a chrome/silver like coating, CrN is not it.
