Nickel Stripping

2002

I would like to get an answer for some questions:

1. I need full description of how to strip electroless nickel from copper? and what type of chemicals and conditions can be used to achieve that?

2. I need a description of stripping of gold?

best regards

Dear Mr Jamjoom,

For stripping NiP from copper there are commercial strippers on the market. You can try this recipe:

60 g/l Sodium hydroxide
120 g/l Ethylene diamine
60 g/l m-nitrobenzene-sulfonicacid
Temperature 75 C.

About your question for a description of stripping of gold, what's the base metal?

Kind regards,
