Natatorium - increased galvanic occurrence?
I'm concerned about the potential of galvanic action between aluminum and stainless steel in an indoor community pool. You had answered someone's question that galvanic action would occur in a moist salt water environment, how about in a chlorine/chloromine environment?

Catherine, you're quite right to be concerned. The indoor swimming pool environment is pretty corrosive to aluminum and stainless steel. If you are going to have them in contact, be sure to anodize the aluminum.
Good luck!

Catherine,
Don't know if this concerns your situation, but here in the Netherlands we had problems in some public indoor pools where the suspension equipment of ceilings, ductwork etc. is made of SS-steel. Due to environment conditions corrosion of the SS steel suspenders occured with as result a falling down of the ceiling etc. Just a matter of luck that no one was injured.
Advice: check regulary these parts!
