Clear coating

2002

I am interested in the materials and equipment for external transport coatings. They must have the following properties:

1. If possible the coating could be applied to the pipe surface at the pipe plant without preliminary preparation (for example shot blasting) just on as rolled surface with mill scale, remains of metal working oil, separate local surface defects.
2. Drying time: 10-15 min.
3. The coating must be thin, heavy duty, transparent. The pipe surface must not have the uncovered zones.
4. The coating must be resistant to the exposure of maritime climate and precipitation for the period not less than 6 (better up to 9) months.
5. The coating is to be easily removed at the Customer's plant by the solvent.
6 Temperature of the ambient air during the coating application is from +5 to +26oC.
7. Noxious gases emission in the process of tubes welding must be absent.

You might consider reviewing polyurea as pipe coating that will meet your needs. I know Nukote polyurea has been used for pipelines around the world. Other than Nukote there are many other polyurea products you will have to research yourself. There is an independent industry website which lists some polyurea pipe coating projects you might want to review. Polyuera meets all of your requirements.

Good luck,
