Uniform Plating Thickness




Dear Sir,

We are not getting uniform plating thickness (silver plating) in barrel. How achieve uniform plating thickness? Suggestions please.

You have provided no details at all. So to answer your question in the abstract, the way it is written, you need to either alter the geometry (because plating thickness is proportional to current density) or you to need to use a leveler/brightener designed to increase throwing power and covering power. But the power of such an addition agent to even up the plating thickness is quite limited.

Hi,

The info is not enough. You need to provide the dimensions of the components you plate. Your bath concentrations, type of bath, operating parameters, etc. If you don't provide them it is tough for the people to advise you.
