What is Titanium Gold?

I am looking for info on Titanium Gold plating (sheet metal, either on polished steel or preplated steel). If you've got technology for sale or can do it in Australia (we would outsource) or just got an info, please, contact me.

Alex,

I don't have such information, but I myself am trying to find out what in the world "titanium gold" is. I, obviously, don't mean titanium nitride physical vapor deposition process. That one I am perfectly aware of. I suspect that there are further advancements in gold electroplating processes, such that besides traditional additives like cobalt, there might be new doping agents used. If you know anything, please let me know.

I've never heard of "titanium gold" except in the context you already mentioned, i.e., titanium nitride, which looks like gold.

Titanium is such an active metal that I would be surprised if a gold-titanium alloy could be electroplated. Titanium has been incorporated into some plating, for example, titanium-cadmium plating, but in this case the titanium doesn't dissolve in the plating solution and doesn't actually electroplate; rather it is incorporated as a codeposit or composite to give a porous structure to minimize hydrogen embrittlement.
