Bright dip on clear chromate parts

We are developing steel parts that require a clear chromate after the zinc plating. We have some samples but they look opaque if we compare them with other samples we have. Is there any process as bright dip that may be the responsible of the shiny parts? Or maybe it can be the status of chemicals involved on the process...

Thanks for your advice,

Sounds like you may be using a cyanide zinc or alkaline zin process. To get bright parts you need to use a bright acid zinc process.
