Cost of hard chrome plating

Can you help me to determine the cost of hard chrome plating? Is it priced by the square foot, by the lot size in a tank divided by process time, or other means?

thank you

Chrome is priced by the cost of the overall process. Racking, anode design and masking have a significant bearing on the cost.

The total amount of parts to be done over a long period of time has a bearing as you can spend more money on permanent fixtures/anodes and bring down the price per part with the time savings.

The cost of a "whoops" is factored in. The cost to plate a $100,000 aircraft part vs a similar $5,000 part is significant, and obviously there is not much thought given to spoiling a $5 part.

Final factor, is what the market will stand.
