Plating Nuts and Bolts
I want to plate some nuts and bolts with a copper or bronze finish (which ever is easiest, or another type that is easy and cheap to apply). I am using the nuts and bolts as different chess pieces, so the main goal is to get 2 different colors. Thanks for any help.

Copper is much easier because it is a single metal. Use some copper wire as your anode, vinegar
⇦in bulk on
eBay
or
Amazon [affil links] and salt as the conductive bath, and after you have some copper color, protect it with Krylon. If that's not good enough, take them to a plating shop :-)

Could you please give me some more description of how to plate with those materials you stated. I would really like to try that idea, I just need some more detailed directions.
Thanks,
