Electroplating of Plastics

I am looking at ways of masking/resisting to prevent deposition when plating ABS or PC/ABS. I know about resist paints/lacquers, etc. but I need a method where definition is maintained in straight lines and can be controlled very accurately. Anyone with any new ideas?

Dear Chris,

Masking to prevent plating over ABSis not common process usually the substrate has to be epoxy or fiber glass for printed circuits but in our case you can use one of the following process.

1-silk screen printing
2-strippable paints [usually based on PVC]
3-photographed the figure using photosensitive material

Thanks and best regards,
