References required for cleaning lines for steel strip

Can anyone give references of electrolytic cleaning lines for Steel strip put up in the last 5 to 10 years ? Also if one has a Hydrogen Annealing capacity, is a cleaning line still required ?

I would phrase the question a bit differently. Since the cleaning is proprietary, I would ask the suppliers for their best recommendation on a cleaning line for your particular application.

This way, they can give you the benefit of their knowledge, without having to tell you exactly what any of their customers are doing.

See this website directory for companies who supply cleaners and activators for steel strip.

Many of the large integrated mills in the U.S. have electrolytic cleaning lines. In many cases, the continuous anneal lines have an electrolytic cleaning stage built in. As for the pure Hydrogen anneal, it does provide a cleaner strip than other atmospheres and the mills will tell you that it eliminates the need for electrolytic cleaning.
