Pyrophosphate zinc plating

1998

Scenario: using soluble Zn anode with pyrophosphate electrolyte in solution, ph=about 12 and temp of 125 °F to plate out Zn coating.

Is there a cheaper electrolyte that will do the same thing without adding volume to the existing solution?

christy

Hello, Christy.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure I understand the question. You are trying to zinc electroplate from a pyrophosphate solution rather than a conventional acid zinc, alkaline zinc, or cyanide zinc? Why?
