Sandblasting aluminum rims

I recently purchased an old set of aluminum wheels that are peeling and not in the best shape. I work at a shop with a sandblaster and was wondering if I could sandblast the rims and have them painted. I was also wondering about the chrome on the bumpers of a truck. How could they be painted?
