-----Iron Phosphate on Alum 383 - coating wgt control
I may need to control the coating weight of iron phosphate dip process on Alum 383 for cosmetic and electrical reasons.
We currently spec TT-C-490
[from DLA]
type 2 ( 35 mg/ft2 ) which is a minimum spec and a dip process.
Question?
If we narrow the coating thickness requirement to 35-50 can it be reliably repeated given the process using the standard process controls?
Significant impact on cost?

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
