Is odd looking black stuff sprayed on inside of tanker desk asbestos?

Hi,
I have found a shop close to me who is repainting my desk for me (limited colour choice, but they are stripping and painting it for about 350-400... and I wanted white, so not that difficult.) But on the inside of the columns that hold the drawers there is this spray on stuff that looks like a form of insulation or fire retardant, does anyone know if this contains asbestos? If it does I want to put a halt on the project immediately. I would great appreciate any assistance that can be provided.
