Letter 32072 Trivalent yellow chromate in place of yellow dichromate++++ Hi, everyone. I have a question regarding to an application we specify "Coating of zinc on steel with yellow dichromate conversion coating". Our supplier is offering something he describes as "Trivalent yellow chromate". I understand, both specifications are different in spite of both are yellow color. Coating we request is used to protect steel parts intended to conduct electrical current. Our spec requires parts, after coating, must be able support a Salt spray test as per ASTM B 117. May we use Trivalent yellow chromate in place of yellow dichromate? David Vazquez
