Real chrome plating can only be done on a few plastics including ABS,
Polypropylene, and special plating grades of fiberglass, so I don't
think that's what you're seeking. Another possibility is aluminum
vacuum metallizing, which is used on toys, mylar balloons, and some
interior automotive parts. But the most appropriate technology,
especially for a paint shop, is perhaps the new "chrome-like" paints.
