Set up cost reduction of powder painting line 

We run our Paintline on alternate days or twice a week. There is a five stage pretreatment, Degreasing , Water rinsing , Zinc phosphating, Water rinsing and Di water rinsing before Powder painting.

Full Paintline is conveyorised to handle/paint 120 sq mts/hr. The fixed setup time and cost (like Pretreating water (hot) and Curing oven )involved is huge . Running of the Paintline will be justified by a minimum economic batch quantity of 5-6 hrs.

I request from the readers any suggestions to reduce the set up cost to run more, small batches for flexible production to meet the changes in customer demand?
